As shared earlier that me and my family were called to Shirdi to celebrate the most auspicious occasion of Diwali in Shirdi by Sai Baba, i got chance to take prayers, rather say messages, of devotees to Sai Baba with me. Since this service is initiated by me, prayers drop in round the year, there were more than 200 prayer requests (including all old and new ones) accumulated in my mail box. Prayer requests received till October 14, 2009, 8:00 PM IST were included and converted into physical form by taking print outs.
We reached Shirdi on October 17, 2009 and the very same day i took prayer print outs with me though i did not give it in Samadhi Mandir at Lotus Feet of Sai Baba. Instead i took prayers to Dwarkamai, Chavadi, Gurusthan and Samadhi Mandir too !!! At all the places prayers were placed and consecrated. On October 18, 2009, in the afternoon we went for darshan in Samadhi Mandir and at that time i had to submit prayer request. Samadhi Mandir was crowded but not so much. Anyhow with few pushes from back, i reached in front of idol and Samadhi of Sai Baba. I had few other books in my hand to be consecrated, i first gave priest those books and received back. When turn of prayers came, i was pushed aback by force as security guards were asking to make room to other devotees. Not minding the situation, i moved forward and tried to give prayer prints out to the priests. The glass covers were present so it was little difficult for me to make prayer print outs reach to the priest. But with one bold push and effort i succeeded in handing over the prayer print outs. The young priest who took print outs asked, “Isko Vapis karna he ya yahi rakhna he – do you wish me to keep this here or return back to you?” I was doubting that the prayer print outs will not be allowed to be placed in Holy Feet of Sai Baba due to rush and my last experience was such, but this time it was asked and no doubt my answer was a request to keep prayer at Holy Feet. In this situation when i had a short glimpse of Sai Baba, i felt as if He was smiling and He very well knew what print outs contained !!!
The priest tried hard to read what the “papers” had in them, but could not, because i had made fonts small to make it easy to carry. His reaction was somewhat funny, but he just threw the print outs and wonder of wonders they reached just at the Holy Feet of Sai Baba 🙂
The question of the priest somewhat made think. Then a second thought gave me a answer that since many devotees have volunteered this service and will be doing in future too, the priests of Samadhi Mandir are also now becoming familiar of this seva. Anyways, for me, it was a happy moment to realise that Sai Baba has blessed and accepted this service 🙂 I prayed to Sai Baba for everyone who had sent prayers and now Baba is there to give fruits as per His devotees’ faith and devotion. Thanks Baba for keeping me in between !!!
